AE Parker Ltd is a long established family business, trading in haulage and storage for over 75 years. Steady growth has enabled us to expand into the palletised delivery business.
Committed workforce
With a staff of over 30 people, most of our employees - drivers and warehousemen - have been with the company for many years. They are conscientious, capable, trustworthy and well presented.
The history of A E Parker Ltd
The business began with Arthur Parker who ran a horse and cart taxi service from Chichester station to local hotels. After World War I Arthur switched to transporting hay and timber, Arthur's two sons Arthur (junior) and Albert Edward joined their father and by the start of World War II they were transporting skins for the Tannery in Chichester and coal.
David and Richard, Albert's two sons joined the business in the mid 1960's and the company moved to the current Terminus Road site in 1968. The business is now run by David's son John and David and Richard's cousin Jonathan.
